The Gist on Josef

Josef Anolin is a comedian, writer, and actor whose humor can be described as simultaneously thoughtful and waggish, tackling topics both mundane and of consequence with a puckish charm.

Born and raised in Oakland, California and currently residing in New York City, Josef began performing stand-up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he became a Feature act at the historic San Francisco Punch Line, Cobb’s Comedy Club, Punch Line Sacramento and is a headliner at Laughs Unlimited, and works a slew of other notable clubs across the West Coast.

Currently, Josef is the co-producer of both “Dog & Pony: A Comedy Showcase” at The Stand NYC and Bad Asians: East.

He has performed for such notable festivals as Outside Lands (2016), San Francisco Sketchfest (2015, 2017, 2018), North Carolina Comedy Festival (2018).

He has worked with such notable headliners as Tom Segura, Big Jay Oakerson, Godfrey, Kyle Kinane, Bobby Lee, Ali Saadiq, Sam Morril, Mike E. Winfield, Kate Willett, Marcella Arguello, Amy Miller, and more.
